SAN JOSE, CALIF., August 29, 2006 – One-click integration with PayPal Website Payments Pro, streamlined sales and checkout integration with eBay and at-a-glance Web store statistics are enhancements included in the new ProStores 7.1 upgrade. ProStores, an eBay Company, enables small- and medium-size businesses to establish full-featured, customized e-commerce sites quickly and cost effectively.

This is the fourth upgrade since the product was launched at eBay Live! in June 2005.

“Our goal is to provide our merchants with constant innovations and features they need to support their end-to-end ecommerce needs,” said Julian Green, director of ProStores. “The ProStores 7.1 integrations continue to support a sophisticated easy-to-use storefront for merchants and an enhanced shopping experience for customers. We are constantly improving functionality for our merchants to provide them the tools they need to succeed at e-commerce. ”

Sign up for PayPal Website Payments Pro in One Click

ProStores 7.1 leverages the PayPal application program interface (API) to provide merchants with a quick and simplified way to add credit card processing through Website Payments Pro to their ProStores web store. The process is now automated on the backend for ProStores merchants with PayPal Business accounts to set up the service in one simple step.

PayPal Website Payments Pro enables payment processing directly on the ProStores merchant’s site, allowing them greater control of the payment process while offering customers increased payment options. For buyers who don't have PayPal accounts, Website Payments Pro lets ProStores merchants accept credit card transactions just as they would with traditional merchant accounts – either directly on their Web stores, or via phone, fax, or e-mail. For buyers that have PayPal accounts, they can complete checkout in three clicks with Express Checkout.

Integration with eBay Checkout Redirect and Listing Tools

ProStores merchants can better manage the customer experience when they choose to send buyers from eBay to their ProStores web store for checkout. The upgrade allows ProStores merchants greater flexibility to do the following:

• configure their checkout redirect from their eBay Seller tools, including Turbolister, Selling Manager, Selling Manger Pro and Blackthorne, an attractive option for high-volume eBay sellers.

• allow buyers making multiple purchases from a single merchant on eBay to be redirected to the merchant’s ProStores web site for checkout.

• specify multiple calculated or fixed rate shipping options, tax and insurance rates in their eBay listings from within ProStores’ checkout, overriding their ProStores rates.

New At-a-Glance Store Statistics Puts Key Data Front and Center

The ProStores upgrade also includes an improved store statistics summary, which provides merchants with a quick view into customer behavior, including total site visitors, orders, site searches and keywords used by shoppers, and return customers.

Subscription fees for ProStores sites are very affordable, starting at $6.95 per month for the Express tier, with a 1.5% successful transaction fee. The Business tier, the most popular, costs $29.95 per month, the Advanced is $74.95 and the Enterprise $249.95, each with a 0.5% transaction fee. Each progressive tier offers sellers advanced functionality and design options.
